Last Week in Photos 023 in words:
Backing out from the gate at Tijuana International. Airplane dark mode activated. The US/Mexico border is a starkly visual contrast. I could photograph clouds from airplanes until the end of time. Heading in to land at Oaxaca International Airport (we aborted the first attempt!). On the ground in Oaxaca. Jack y hot dogs. There are lots of Beetles in Mexico. Oaxaca is full of textures and flowers and amazing light, itβs really a paradise for photography. Santo Domingo cathedral. We did the Oaxacking Walking Food Tour and it was fantastic! Street life in the city. Rooster and bunny at Criollo, a beautiful restaurant with a gorgeous patio. More textures, more vignettes. Allison on the street. The flags and streamers flying over the streets make for an iconic and beautiful view. Dave Rentauskas with his bottle of sipping magic. A festive protest march followed by a festive wedding march. We took to the road and headed up to Monte AlbΓ‘n. a large pre-Columbian archaeological site full of pyramids and great views of the surrounding valleys. Dave with an βepic pose.β Our Airbnb had quite a nice mezcal hookup. Plenty of pretty, rustic cars on the streets of the city. Dressed up men with their shoes resting on the bar rail. Day turns to night and we wander the streets during magic hour. Finally, a posed shot of Allison and myself at our nice Criollo dinner.
See you next week.
